1/18/2024 0 Comments What is a township managerThe Finance Director is responsible for the collection, recording and deposit of all revenues that are due to the Township from all sources and for the disbursement and payment of Township funds in compliance with the annual budget prepared by the Township Manager and approved by the Board of Supervisors. The Manager oversees and administers all leases and contracts on behalf of the Township and provides the Board of Supervisors information necessary for them to make informed decisions regarding purchases and general Township policy. The Manager monitors the performance of the day-to-day enforcement of all applicable laws of the Commonwealth and the ordinances and resolutions of the Township and handles requests for service and complaints from Township citizens. The Manager coordinates and prepares the annual Township Budget and Public Investment Plan and is responsible for the administration of the annual budget following its review and adoption by the Board of Supervisors. The Township Manager supervises all municipal departments and employees and is responsible for the day-to-day operation and conduct of administrative affairs of the Township. Appointed by, and accountable to the Board of Supervisors, the Township Manager is responsible for the execution of Board approved policies, ordinances, contracts, agreements, as well as other policies, initiatives and directives of the Board. The office and position of Township Manager is authorized by the Pennsylvania Second Class Township Code and approved by the Board of Supervisors. The Township Manager is the Chief Administrative Officer of the Township.
